Went to Horseshoe Lake this evening with Ian as he wanted to go fishing. It's usually a great place for photos with all the herons and other birds. But tonight the fish and birds were not cooperating. However I noticed that the leaves are starting to turn and was able to catch this great reflection in the water.

Another first for me and the family. This beautiful tower is open one day a month where you can go to the top. It's 199 steps up but the view is fantastic.

One of the many examples of graffiti art along the graffiti wall in St. Louis. It is the flood barrier that runs from south of the arch for a few miles. Full of interesting art and is a place for people to leave their mark.

This beautiful bird was slow enough for me to get a few good pictures. I love wildlife and Horseshoe Lake is a great place to take photos.

Getting our kicks on Route 66

This shot is at Henry's Rabbit Ranch in Staunton Illinois, on old Route 66. Rich, who runs the place is great to talk to and has a lot of stories to tell. We drove the route from Livingston to Springfield with a few stops along the way. Hopefully sometime we'll drive the entire Illinois route to Chicago.

RIP Tom Personett

I first met Tom while stationed in Italy back in the late 80s. He was a good friend and passed away way too young at the age of 44. RIP Tom, you'll be missed.

This poor little guy was stuck in the road on his back. Two cars drove right over the top of him and didn't even try to stop. Fortunately he was just dazed and made it back to mama.
