A good read, though I suspect many will not like what he says. But history has a way of repeating itself. If we are to remain a power in the world we need to make changes now.

Herald.com | 12/24/2004 | Party allegiance, bias are swaying our opinions
An excellent article by Leonard Pitts of the Miami Herald. I don't always agree with his opinions, but he is always thought provoking and I truly believe he is dead on the money with this one.

ID cards bill faces rebellion - Yahoo! UK & Ireland News
Can someone tell me just how having a national ID card is going to protect me or you? It's just one more tool in the government's arsenal to "protect" us from ourselves, or as I like to think of it as the government protecting itself from the people. Every little bit of freedom we give up in the name of convenience and safety only enslaves us to the government more.

Yahoo! News - Time Names President Bush 'Person of the Year'
Love him or loath him he definitely fit the criteria.
Yahoo! News - Time Names President Bush 'Person of the Year': "The winner must be 'the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or for ill, and embodied what was important about the year, for better or for worse,' he said. "

WorldNetDaily: Why I believe in Creation, Or why I believe this guy is an idiot
Where did this guy get his education at? No evidence? There are mountains of scientific evidence but this guy obviously discounts all that because of the Bible? Which version do we believe. I suppose he believes the sun revolves around the earth, which happens to be flat by the way. Sheesh!

Yahoo! News - Lott: Rumsfeld Should Go, at Some Point
At some point? He should have been gone long ago with the way he's botched things. If this had happened under a Democratic President the Republicans would have been livid. But it seems some of them are coming around finally and seeing just what a mess he's made.
Besides his leaving would do wonders for the morale of the military, especially the Army.

Daily Kos :: Political Analysis and other daily rants on the state of the nation.
Wooo, this is a good one. How will the right wing religious conservatives feel or respond to this one? Straight from their own book.

'If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.'"

Yahoo! News - FCC Aims to Lift Airborne Wireless Phone Ban
It's about flippin' time. This has always had more to do with the airlines and phone companies making a killing with the air phones than any safety issues in my opinion. Ever had to make a call from a plane and seen what the actual charges were? I have and it's a scam.
