Four of us from the photo club took a trip to East St. Louis Sunday morning to take some photos. So sad to see these old buildings in such decay. This was a grand city at one time.

There was a great photo walk here in St. Louis yesterday. I met a lot of great photographers and had fun on the Delmar Loop. This shot is of "Albert Hall".

The O'Fallon Grand Prix finishes up today. I didn't get down there Friday or Saturday but Ian and I made it down this morning. Today was the Criterium races throughout the downtown area. It was a lot of fun watching the riders.

A beautiful day here in the southwestern part of Illinois. We've had a bit of rain so the corn is really shooting up, and the weather was comfortable.

This guy looked pretty rough from a distance and when I got up close I can see why. Look at that poor beak. I can't imagine it is easy to catch food.

Raven Wolf

Went down to the Soulard Farmer's Market this morning with the family. This is Mr. C. Felton "Raven Wolf" Jennings II. Every time I go down there he is out front playing his sax, a flute or the drums. He's a great guy and I love taking photos of him.

I've driven under the Clark Bridge in Alton more times than I can remember but never noticed the symmetry until today. After playing around in Lightroom I felt that black and white did the photo more justice. This was done handheld. I plan to go back and use a tripod next time.

Playing around with the 70-200L lens today. I love how clear and sharp my photos come out with it. Wish I could afford a couple more L series, and a better camera body.

My wife sees this guy all the time but this is the first time I've been able to get a photo of him. He sat there for a few minutes and let me get a few photos, then he was off!

While I didn't see very many hawks out on my quest this morning I did spot this guy along side the road. I couldn't stop immediately but turned around, came back and he was still there. I was only able to get a couple of shots off but it made my day.

Spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Northern Wisconsin at my in-laws. I love going up there as there are so many photo opportunities. I drove by this place and had to come back with my camera. I can only imagine the stories that lay within it's walls.

Broken

Had a fantastic day with some of my fellow members of the Metro East Photography club down in St. Louis. We visited Powell Square, an old brewery then ended up at Union Power north of the MLK bridge. This shot is from the inside the old St. Louis Southwestern Railway Freight Depot.
